Introducing "TA Spotlights" |
|
| | |
|
We are excited to announce a new initiative in our server: TA Spotlights!
These will be short blog posts written by TAs, highlighting cool experiences, learning resources, and unique insights. Best of all, the featured TAs will be chosen by you!
We are currently setting up a system so you can nominate fellow TAs via Discord. We plan to feature a new TA every two weeks, and the first spotlight drops next month. Keep your eyes out for more details soon! |

Witcher IV Animation Pipeline |
|
| | |
|
Last month YouTuber Mister Chedda realeased a video breaking down the tech behind the crowd animations in the Witcher 4 Demo. In the video he outlines the technical constraints of large scale crows animation and compares previous solutions to those problems with the new UE5 Animation Framework. |
|
| | |
| | |
Throughout this video you will learn what makes the Witcher IV Tech Demo different from previous examples. If you're at all interested in Technical Animation and/or in-depth Performance Profiling we highly recommend you give this video a watch and Mister Chedda a subscribe! |

| | |
|
| |
| | |
If you're looking to reduce drawcalls in your scene while maintaining the ability to dynamically change your materials at Runtime, then Custom Primitive Data is for you! |
|
| |
Epic Games has a comprehensive documentation guide detailing how this incredibly useful, yet often underutilized workflow allows you to store unique parameters directly on your meshes. |
|
| |
If you are interested in boosting performance and improving your material optimization techniques for future projects, we highly recommend you check it out! |
